<p><p><b>Description :</b><br/><br/><b>About the Client :</b><br/><br/>The organization is a mission-driven technology company focused on creating safer communities through innovative school bus safety solutions across North America.<br/><br/>- By leveraging AI-powered cameras and cloud-connected systems, it helps school districts monitor and enforce traffic laws around school buses, protecting students as they travel to and from school.<br/><br/>- The company partners closely with local governments, law enforcement, and transportation agencies to deliver end-to-end programs that include installation, monitoring, violation processing, and public education all at no cost to taxpayers.<br/><br/><b>About the role :</b><br/><br/>We are looking for Python/Ruby - Full Stack Developer, the successful candidates will be instrumental in executing and delivering well tested code.
This position will require you to work in close concert as part of a larger geographically distant team, where you will be required to share your insights to drive a better process.<br/><br/><b>What we need you to do :</b><br/><br/>- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and tested code<br/><br/>- Engineer documented, scalable, and secure APIs from deprecated legacy code<br/><br/>- Actively seek out knowledge about new technologies and how they can be used to solve current and foreseeable challenges<br/><br/>- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle<br/><br/>- Be a productive member of an inclusive team where pairing and peer-reviewed code are valued<br/><br/>- Follow best practices (continuous integration, SCRUM, refactoring, and code standards)<br/><br/>- Drive continuous adoption and integration of relevant new technologies into design<br/><br/>- Engineers documented scalable and secure APIs from deprecated legacy code<br/><br/>- Work with AWS Serverless technologies<br/><br/><b>What you bring :</b><br/><br/>- BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience<br/><br/>- 5+ years of experience as a full Stack developer<br/><br/>- 3+ years Ruby or Python experience<br/><br/>- 3+ years of experience with web frameworks (preferred : Rails or Rack)<br/><br/>- Proven work experience in an agile software development team<br/><br/>- Demonstrable knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3<br/><br/>- Passion for writing great, simple, clean, efficient code<br/><br/>- Workable knowledge of MySQL, Postgres, or AWS Aurora databases<br/><br/>- Knowledge of version control, such as Git<br/><br/>- Ability to simplify complex problems<br/><br/>- Vue.js experience (preferred)<br/><br/>- SASS experience (preferred)<br/><br/>- IoT Technologies (preferred)<br/><br/>- Sinatra experience (preferred)<br/><br/>- Understanding of DevOps deployment processes and technologies; Docker, Jenkins etc.
